Pregnancy

Whether you are a first time mom or second.. third.. fourth.. and so on, you will always have queries regarding the discomforts you experience during pregnancy. As every mom says all pregnancies are some how different in some ways. Some experience morning sickness throughout their pregnancy, some only the first few months, and some luckily not at all.

Morning sickness can be very crucial to some moms. It can last all day not only in the morning and even a sip of water can make you throw up. In majority, morning sickness doesn't last very long. Only the first three months - first trimester. If you are experiencing over three months, I really feel for you. I personally hated it. I hate throwing up and the overall experience. I actually lose weight instead of gaining. Even the smell of cooking made me nausea. What more if you had to eat it! Empty stomach makes it even worse. So the best thing was to have crackers in your handbag wherever you go. Stuff yourself up with small amount of food all day. This will help in decreasing the feeling of nausea. Not to forget before getting off the bed in the morning, have some crackers, fill your stomach, but don't take your whole breakfast yet of course, then hit the bathroom. Makes a lot of difference. At least for me it did.

Soon you'll be at your fourth month of pregnancy. Yep time flies. Second trimester already. I would say the second trimester (4 months - 6 months) is the best phase during pregnancy. No more morning sickness for most of the moms. The enjoyment of having a good meal, finally! The lil' baby bump to show off without any discomforts yet. For some moms, you might experience pain in your groin. If you do, it'll probably last until you give birth. This pain occurs when you are switching position in bed. Ouch! painful it is. Yes, it is normal. It has something to do with the round ligament loosing up. Google it if you have not. So to sum it up, enjoy this phase to the fullest before you hit the last trimester.

Third trimester which is the last of all (7 months to 9 months). By now you would be able to see the gender of your baby. For some luckily at fifth or sixth month. It's easier if the baby is in the correct position when ultrasound scanning is being done. If not it's difficult to see. Whether it is a boy or a girl, both brings the same joy. You probably cannot wait to shop for your lil' one already. Making list of what to shop. The excitements of buying things for your baby and imagining how your baby going to fit in those tiny clothes. You will realize in no time you are going to have the baby. You'll have your bag packed for the hospital at 8 months plus, even that excites you. Oh, have I mention about the discomforts? Well, I felt like a penguin when I was at 8 months pregnant. Your belly gets bigger and bigger more rapidly. You can't sit for long, stand for long, walk for long, or even lay down for long. Your back starts aching more. You will have cramps. Your groins will continue to ache even more. When you are reaching closer to your due date, you just can't wait till the baby to come out. You will definitely have a few false labor before the real labor comes in. Just be prepared. Whether it comes before the due date or after, just enjoy the last days of your pregnancy. Surely you will miss it.
Have a happy pregnancy! :)
